Rakaman dramatik: Tanah Runtuh Besar Kerosakan Kampung China. Lebih daripada 1,400 orang telah dipindahkan selepas tanah runtuh besar melanda sebuah kampung di Wilayah Sichuan China.

Dramatic footage: Huge landslide ravages China village. More than 1,400 people have been evacuated after a huge landslide ravaged a village in China's Sichuan Province.

The landslide swept away 28 houses and 6.6 hectares of farmland in the Caopo Township on Monday, with rocks and earth pouring down mountain slopes and blocking a river. Rescue efforts are still underway to relocate the remaining 2,000 residents. Report by Sophie Foster.

Turkey tindakan keras Terus: Puluhan wartawan kehilangan kerja ke atas liputan protes anti-Erdogan. Menurut Turki Kesatuan Wartawan sekurang-kurangnya 22 wartawan telah dilaporkan telah dipecat dan 37 lagi terpaksa berhenti ke atas liputan mereka baru-baru ini protes anti-kerajaan.

Turkey Crackdown Continues: Dozens of journalists lose jobs over anti-Erdogan protest coverage. According to the Turkish Journalists Union at least 22 journalists have reportedly been fired and another 37 forced to quit over their coverage of the recent anti-government protests.

They started in late May with a small group of environmentalists staging a protest against a proposed commercial development in Istanbul's Gezi Park, and grew into nationwide demonstrations in which thousands expressed anti-government sentiments.

The protests in Istanbul were met with tear gas and water cannons. The news comes as an Istanbul court unanimously overturned a lower court's stay of order ruling on the planned shopping mall development, allowing the demolition of the green space to resume.

Mesir: pertempuran dan letupan bom meninggalkan sekurang-kurangnya 10 mati. Satu letupan bom telah merobek melalui balai polis di utara Kaherah membunuh satu orang dan mencederakan 17 yang lain pegawai mengesahkan.

Sumber keselamatan berkata bom itu dilemparkan dari sebuah kereta yang berlalu di Mansoura, ibu kota wilayah Dakhalia. Parti Islam Ikhwan mengutuk serangan bom. Ia datang selepas pertempuran semalaman antara penyokong dan penentang Presiden yan menggulingkan Mohammed Mursi di mana 9 orang mati.

Beberapa mangsa terbunuh pada ‘Sit-in’ diadakan oleh penyokong pro-Mursi berhampiran Cairo universiti, manakala Ikhwan Muslimin dilaporkan 2 telah mati dalam perarakan menyokong bekas presiden yang digulingkan.

Keluarga Encik Mursi yang sebelum ini menuduh tentera melarikan dia.

Egypt: clashes and bomb explosion leave at least 10 dead. A bomb explosion has ripped through a police station north of Cairo killing one person and injuring 17 others officials confirmed.

Security sources say the bomb was hurled from a passing car in Mansoura,the capital of Dakhalia province. The Muslim Brotherhood party condemned the bomb attack. It came after overnight clashes between supporters and opponents of ousted President Mohammed Mursi in which nine people died.

A number of the victims were killed at a sit-in held by pro-Mursi supporters near Cairo university, while the Muslim Brotherhood reported two had died in a march supporting the ousted former president.

Mr Mursi's family had earlier accused the military of abducting him.

Egypt: Army chief seeks mandate to fight violence

yaSalam - CAIRO (AP) Egypt's military chief on Wednesday called on his countrymen to hold mass demonstrations to voice their support for the army and police to put an end to "violence" and "terrorism."

Gen. Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi, addressing a graduation ceremony for a class of military cadets, urged Egyptians to take to the streets on Friday, saying a massive turnout would give him a "mandate" and an "order" to do what is "necessary" to combat the bloodshed that has killed dozens since the military ousted President Mohammed Morsi three weeks ago.

"On Friday, every honorable and honest Egyptian must come out. Come out and remind the whole world that you have a will and resolve of your own," el-Sissi said. "Please, shoulder your responsibility with me, your army and the police and show your size and steadfastness in the face of what is going on."

Since Morsi's ouster, there has been a sharp escalation in attacks blamed on Islamic militants against security forces in the Sinai Peninsula. There have also been deadly clashes between opponents and supporters of Morsi that have left dozens dead and fueled concerns that the violence could spiral out of control.

El-Sissi's request for a mandate to move come as calls on the army and the police are mounting to swiftly act to save the country from plunging into civil war. The coup that ousted Morsi followed four days of mass protests by millions of Egyptians demanding that he step down.

Morsi's supporters insist he must be reinstated, branding his ouster as a coup against democracy. The former president was Egypt's first freely elected president, but his opponents say he concentrated too much power in his own hands and his Islamist group, the Muslim Brotherhood.
