SitiWanMahani Kementerian Kewangan Thailand telah diambil alih oleh lebih daripada 1,000 perusuh anti-kerajaan, Reuters melaporkan saksi sebagai berkata. Pemimpin pergerakan protes menggesa penunjuk perasaan untuk merampas bangunan kerajaan yang lain.

Di bandar, sekitar 30,000 penunjuk perasaan melaungkan “Keluar!” dan tersebar di seluruh Bangkok untuk mengepung pejabat-pejabat kerajaan, tentera dan pangkalan tentera laut dan saluran TV negeri.

Pemimpin protes dianggarkan bahawa sekurang-kurangnya 1 juta penunjuk perasaan anti-kerajaan akan berkumpul berhampiran Tugu Demokrasi untuk perarakan yang dianjurkan melalui bandar. Anggaran polis terkini menunjukkan bahawa kira-kira 200,000 orang telah berkumpul di jalan-raya, perhimpunan terbesar dalam tempoh 3 tahun.

Over 1,000 protesters occupy Thailand’s Finance Ministry

Thailand’s Finance Ministry has been taken over by more than 1,000 anti-government rioters, Reuters reported witnesses as saying. The leader of the protest movement has urged the demonstrators to seize other government buildings.

Across the city, around 30,000 protesters chanted "Get out!" and spread out across Bangkok to besiege government offices, military and naval bases and state TV channels.

Protest leaders estimated that at least 1 million anti-government protesters would gather near Democracy Monument for an organized march through the city. Latest police estimates showed that some 200,000 people have gathered on the streets, the biggest rally in three years.

Bantahan besar-besaran turun ke keganasan di Bangkok apabila aktivis pembangkang bertempur dengan penyokong kerajaan, meninggalkan 2 yang mati.

Tembakan telah dilaporkan di ibu negara Thailand sebagai pertempuran antara beribu-ribu penunjuk perasaan bertukar menjadi ganas. Walaupun aktivis anti-kerajaan meminta penyingkiran Perdana Menteri, penyokong mengambil jalan-raya untuk “melindungi demokrasi.”

2 orang telah ditembak mati dan sekurang-kurangnya 35 cedera dalam wabak keganasan yang berlaku antara pihak-pihak saingan berhampiran stadium Bangkok, laporan agensi berita Itar Tass memetik polis tempatan. Beribu-ribu penyokong Baju Merah Perdana Menteri sekarang Yingluck Shinawatra telah menganjurkan perhimpunan di tempat tersebut.

Walau bagaimanapun, berikutan keganasan, pemimpin Baju Merah, Thida Thavornseth mengarahkan puluhan ribu penyokong mereka untuk menamatkan demonstartion itu.

“Untuk mengelakkan merumitkan keadaan bagi kerajaan lagi, kami telah memutuskan untuk membiarkan orang-orang pulang ke rumah,” Thavornseth memberitahu penunjuk perasaan berhimpun di dalam stadium Bangkok, menurut AFP.

Sekurang-kurangnya 5 orang menerima luka tembakan dan 5 yang lain cedera oleh pisau atau batu, menurut pegawai-pegawai di kedua-dua Hospital Ramkamhaeng berdekatan dan Hospital Besar Dr Panya yang bercakap kepada Reuters.

Troops have been deployed in the Thai capital to support police protecting official buildings from anti-government activists. Mass protests descended into violence in Bangkok when opposition activists clashed with government supporters, leaving 2 dead.

Gunshots have been reported in the Thai capital as clashes between thousands of protesters turned violent. While anti-government activists call for the removal of the Prime Minister, proponents took to the streets to “protect democracy.”

Two persons were shot dead and at least 35 wounded in the outbreak of violence which took place between rival parties near a Bangkok stadium, Itar Tass news agency reports citing local police.  Thousands of Red Shirt supporters of current Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra had been staging a rally at the venue.

However, following the violence, the leader of the Red Shirts, Thida Thavornseth, ordered tens of thousands of their supporters to end the demonstartion.

“In order to avoid complicating the situation for the government further, we have decided to let people return home,” Thavornseth told protesters gathered in a Bangkok stadium, according to AFP.

At least five people received gunshot wounds and five others were injured by knives or rocks, according to officials at both the nearby Ramkamhaeng Hospital and the Dr Panya General Hospital who spoke to Reuters.

Terdahulu pada hari Sabtu, aktivis anti-kerajaan, atau yang dikenali sebagai Baju Kuning, cuba untuk memaksa masuk ke dalam Komplek Kerajaan di Bangkok.

Penunjuk perasaan turut menyerang bas berhampiran perhimpunan pro-kerajaan, dilaporkan AFP.

Sementara itu, lebih 750,000 pengguna web menggunakan perkhidmatan firma telekom negeri, Pertubuhan Telefon Thailand (TOT), dibiarkan tanpa akses internet kerana masa-lah teknikal. TOT tidak menjelaskan sama ada masalah telah disambungkan kepada bantahan, tetapi ia sebelum ini telah melaporkan bahawa beratus-ratus penunjuk pera-saan pembangkang diduduki bahagian pembinaan perumahan perkhidmatannya. Mereka juga berkumpul secara ringkas berhampiran Pihak Berkuasa Komunikasi Thailand (CAT), satu lagi kunci firma telekom negeri.

Sejak 6 hari terakhir Bangkok telah menjadi tuan rumah kepada perhimpunan terbesar anti-kerajaan sejak 2010 , dengan beribu-ribu penunjuk perasaan menyeru penyingkiran Shinawatra.

“Berpuluh-puluh penunjuk perasaan anti-kerajaan yang menyerang bas dengan membuka batu dan kerusi plastik lain, ada orang di dalam bas,” kata seorang jurugambar AFP di tempat kejadian. Reuters saksi berkata, 2 orang telah teruk dipukul dalam kejadian itu.

Berikutan keganasan, kata polis 3,000 tentera akan dikerahkan untuk mengukuhkan keselamatan di Bangkok.

“Dari malam ini akan ada tentera keluar untuk menjaga keselamatan,” kata jurucakap polis kebangsaan Piya Utayo alamat di televisyen .

Earlier on Saturday, anti-government activists, or so-called Yellow Shirts, attempted to force entry into the Government House in Bangkok.

Protesters also attacked a bus near a pro-government rally, reported AFP.

Meanwhile, over 750,000 web users employing the services of state telecom firm, Telephone Organization of Thailand (TOT), were left without internet access due to technical problems. TOT did not clarify whether the problems had been connected to the protests, but it had previously been reported that hundreds of opposition protesters occupied parts of the building housing its services. They also gathered briefly near Communications Authority of Thailand (CAT), another key state telecoms firm.

Over the last six days Bangkok has played host to the biggest anti-government rallies since 2010, with thousands of protesters calling for the removal of Shinawatra.

"Dozens of anti-government protesters are attacking a bus with paving stones and other plastic chairs, there are people in the bus," said an AFP photographer at the scene. Reuters witnesses said that two people were badly beaten in the incident.

Following the violence, police said some 3,000 troops will be deployed to reinforce security in Bangkok.

"From tonight there will be soldiers out to take care of security," national police spokesman Piya Utayo said in a televised address.

Terdahulu hari ini, penunjuk perasaan pro-kerajaan mengambil untuk jalan-jalan di ibu negara Thailand pada hari Sabtu untuk menyokong yang dipilih secara demokratik Perdana Menteri Yingluck.

Penganjur perhimpunan tersebut bahawa kira-kira 13,000 orang berkumpul di stadium Rajamangala Bangkok “untuk melindungi demokrasi” pada hari Sabtu. Penyokong kumpulan politik, Barisan Bersatu bagi Demokrasi Menentang Diktator (UDD), berbon-dong-bondong ke Bangkok untuk mempertahankan kerajaan yang dipilih oleh majoriti rakyat Thailand.

Earlier in the day, pro-government demonstrators took to the streets of the Thai capital on Saturday to support democratically elected Prime Minister Yingluck.

Organizers of the rally said that around 13,000 people gathered in Bangkok’s Rajamangala stadium “to protect democracy” on Saturday. Supporters of the political group, the United Front for Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD), flocked to Bangkok to defend the government elected by the majority of Thai people.

The ‘red coats’ chanted pro-government slogan and waved banners in solidarity with Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra. Sompote Prasartthai, a co-leader of the UDD group in Nakhon Ratchasima province told the Bangkok Post that there would be no confrontations between the ‘red coats’ and anti-government activists.

Sementara itu, ketua pembangkang, Suthep Thaugsuban, menjanjikan “kekalahan rejim Thaksin” kepada pengikutnya pada malam Jumaat. Penunjuk perasaan anti-kerajaan telah mengadakan beberapa perhimpunan sejak 6 hari yang lalu dengan percubaan untuk menduduki pelbagai kementerian yang berakhir dengan menyerang ibu pejabat Tentera Diraja Thai pada hari Jumaat - dalam usaha untuk memenangi sokongan tentera.

Pembangkang mahu menghapuskan Perdana Menteri Yingluck Shinawatra dan mendakwa bahawa kerajaan beliau sedang dikawal oleh bekas pemimpin sendiri yang dibuang Thaksin Shinawatra. Jutawan Thaksin digulingkan dalam rampasan kuasa 2006, tetapi masih menikmati banyak populariti di luar bandar Thailand.

Meanwhile, opposition leader, Suthep Thaugsuban, promised the “defeat of the Thaksin regime” to his followers on Friday night. Anti-government protesters have staged a number of rallies over the last six days with attempts to occupy various ministries which culminated in the storming of the Royal Thai Army headquarters on Friday - in a bid to win military support.

The opposition wants to remove Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and allege that her government is being controlled by self-exiled former leader Thaksin Shinawatra. Billionaire Thaksin was ousted in a 2006 coup, but still enjoys a lot of popularity in rural Thailand.

Bekas pemimpin telah disabitkan dengan penyalahgunaan kuasa 2 tahun selepas dia dibuang daripada kuasa. Ketegangan telah baru dinyalakan di Thailand selepas kerajaan cuba untuk lulus Rang Undang-Undang Amnesty kontroversi pada awal November. Perun-dangan yang telah ditendang keluar oleh Senat, akan membenarkan Thaksin untuk kem-bali ke Thailand tanpa menjalani hukuman penjara untuk jenayah itu.

Perdana Menteri Yingluck telah menawarkan untuk berunding dengan pembangkang dan telah memperkenalkan kuasa-kuasa khas, membolehkan perintah berkurung dan penu-tupan jalan sebagai tindak balas kepada konflik itu.

The former leader was convicted with power abuse two years after he was removed from power. Tensions were newly ignited in Thailand after the government attempted to pass a controversial Amnesty Bill at the beginning of November. The legislation, which was kicked out by the Senate, would have allowed Thaksin to return to Thailand without serving a jail sentence for his crime.

Prime Minister Yingluck has offered to negotiate with the opposition and has introduced special powers, allowing curfews and road closures in response to the unrest.

SitiWanMahani Sekitar 2,000 penunjuk perasaan anti-kerajaan berarak ke Ibu Pejabat Polis Diraja Thailand di Bangkok pada hari Khamis, kerana mereka bangkit di ibu negara untuk hari kelima. Penunjuk perasaan mengibarkan bendera, kerana mereka berkumpul dekat berduri wayar dan konkrit penghadang. Tindakan ini terus di bandar walaupun Perdana Menteri di negara ini merayu untuk penunjuk perasaan anti-kerajaan untuk menamatkan bantahan mereka.

2,000 protesters march towards Thai police HQ

Around 2,000 anti-government protesters marched to the Royal Thai Police Headquarters in Bangkok on Thursday, as they rallied in the capital for a fifth day. Demonstrators waved flags, as they gathered near barbed wire and concrete barricades. The action continued in the city despite the country's prime minister pleading for anti-government demonstrators to call off their protests.
